Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Wichita is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Wichita, KS. The RT will assess patients, determine treatment plans, and deliver respiratory care for critically ill patients on 12-hour shifts, both day and night.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion/removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Schedule: Full Time - 12 Hour Shifts - Day Shift 7:00am-7:00pm & Nights 7:00pm-7:00amCompensation: $30.00 to $40.38 per Hour, Based off of Experience

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
