Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Role:

Provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities:

Sets up, monitors, weans oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, performs arterial blood gases and EKG analysis, delivers intermittent therapies, assists with artificial airway management, and documents clinical information. Educates patients and colleagues on procedures and treatment plans, adapts care to patient age and needs, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

Requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred), current state license as a Respiratory Therapist, National Board certification, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. Must have computer proficiency, effective communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Skills:

Ability to perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, review and document patient data, adapt interactions based on patient demographics, and stay informed on regulatory standards. Physical demands include heavy lifting, prolonged standing or sitting, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a patient care environment with potential exposure to biohazards.
