Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus South in Columbus, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to perform respiratory care for critically ill patients on a full-time night shift. The role offers a night schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with a compensation range of $35.00 to $47.10 per hour based on experience and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans, managing endotracheal tubes, and promoting quality improvement while supporting

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or HS transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (first shift ACLS for agency RT, hire ACLS for PRN).
• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Schedule: Full Time - 12 Hour Shift - Night Shift (7:00p-7:00a)

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
