Health Here in Charlottesville is seeking an experienced allied health professional to fill a travel respiratory therapist role focused on neonatal and pediatric care in a Level IV NICU setting. You will operate the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A across NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries for patients under 18.

Flexible hours and self-scheduling are offered; weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license, RRT, NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• RRT-ACCS certification preferred or required.
• Minimum 12 months of recent relevant experience, with 3 months in the last year.

Job description

Role Overview:

This position requires an experienced allied health professional with Level IV NICU experience, skilled in operating the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. The role involves providing care in a pediatric hospital setting, including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute pediatrics, with a focus on patients under 18, including those with complex congenital heart conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Float across multiple units, deliver specialized neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, and adhere to hospital protocols. The role offers flexible hours, self-scheduling, and requires working every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications & Certifications:

Must hold a valid license, RRT, NRP, PALS, BLS, and RRT-ACCS certifications. Candidates should have at least 12 months of recent experience, including 3 months in the last year.

Additional Requirements:

Must be vaccinated for flu, pass pre-employment modules, and provide references and proof of ID. Floating to all units is mandatory, and candidates living within 50 miles are considered local.
