Job summary

Grande International Hospital seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to assess, plan, and provide comprehensive respiratory care on-site. You will manage ventilation, airway procedures, and diagnostics while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Required NBRC-RRT and current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP within six months of hire. This floating, full-time role offers patient-centered care and opportunities for professional growth along with strong employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited respiratory care education program.
• Current NBRC credential as RRT.
• Current AHA CPR required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy treatments per orders and protocols.
• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosols, humidity, CPT for airway clearance.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and respond to alarms and complications.
• Perform ABG sampling, PFT, EKG, and Holter testing; document results.
• Respond to CPR, rapid response, and code blue events; provide advanced airway support.
• Monitor patient responses; document findings; notify medical staff as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and nurses for effective respiratory care.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and breathing techniques.
• Document all respiratory care assessments and outcomes in the EHR.
• Maintain functioning of respiratory equipment and infection control.
