Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, following physician orders, and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, performing duties as assigned.

GIG highlights include base rates of $30/hr for CRT and $35/hr for RRT, with variable shift incentives and 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available. Missouri location onsite at Mercy facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). ACLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
