Job summary

Lionstone Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders across healthcare, long-term care, or acute settings.

You will administer oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, and conduct diagnostic tests to optimize patient outcomes, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the care team. This role emphasizes patient education and rapid emergency response.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and active Respiratory Therapist license; CRT or RRT certification required.
• Experience in healthcare or acute care setting preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Strong clinical and technical skills in managing respiratory care and ventilation equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory conditions and interpret diagnostic tests to develop treatment plans.
• Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosols, bronchodilators, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices.
• Provide airway management and assist with intubation as needed.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy; document progress in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions at home.
• Respond to emergencies including CPR and acute respiratory failure.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
