GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position, supervised by experienced respiratory therapists and healthcare professionals, assists with floor therapy and respiratory modalities. It offers individuals pursuing a career in respiratory therapy practical, hands-on experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in delivering respiratory therapies to patients under supervision. (50%)
• Set up, maintain, and clean respiratory equipment. Ensure equipment is operational and available. (15%)
• Expand knowledge of respiratory therapy practices. Collaborate with healthcare team members. (15%)
• Manage oxygen storage and distribution, ensuring safety and continuous supply. (10%)
• Document respiratory therapy procedures and maintain patient records as per hospital protocols. (10%)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Enrolled in a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program with at least one semester of clinical rotations completed
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:
