Glenwood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care in line with physician orders and department policies. You will administer therapies, set up ventilators, perform airway management, and collect arterial blood gases to support critical care operations.
Qualified candidates will have an AHA-approved respiratory therapy program, Louisiana licensure (CRTT/LRT), and at least one year in critical or acute care, with BLS/COAP due within 30 days and ACLS/PALS
Providing Pulmonary care service in accordance with specific physician's orders, departmental policies, and procedures. Administers respiratory therapy treatments while understanding the purpose of each and possible side effects. Sets up and monitors mechanical invasive and noninvasive ventilators. Performs airway management and tracheal suctioning. Performs capillary and arterial punctures to obtain mixed venous or arterial blood gas analysis and can troubleshoot as well as do maintenance on ABG analyzers Performs EKG's. Work independently in all areas of critical care.
