Job summary

The role administers respiratory therapy, assesses patient needs, and consults with physicians to plan effective treatment. Qualified candidates may be eligible for sign-on bonuses up to $30,000; new grads up to $20,000. Day shift with a rotating weekend/holiday schedule is typical.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Less than 1 year related experience.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment.
• RRT certification within 1 year and ACLS within 60 days and RCP license PA upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers physician-prescribed respiratory therapy, including oxygen and medications.
• Performs evaluation procedures (invasive and non-invasive) for care planning.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation, assists with weaning and care.
• Collects and analyzes sputum, blood and breath samples.
• Documents care and ensures compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinates with health care team for continuity of care.
