Job summary

Universal Health Services' Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for a convenient day shift schedule. Under the supervision of the Critical Care Director, Medical Director and Respiratory Department Supervisor, you will provide Respiratory Care services per physician orders and department policies.

You will handle oxygen delivery, ventilators, airway management and patient monitoring, ensuring high-quality care within a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure or eligible.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS certified within 90 days.
• Ability to use ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, IPPB, IPV, pulse oximetry, and bedside spirometry.
• Ability to perform chest PT.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and monitors effects.
• Sets up and monitors ventilators and airway management tasks.
