Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine respiratory treatment goals in consultation with physicians and nurses.
• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy.
• Administer prescribed aerosol drugs.
• Utilize oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment per policy.
• Perform bronchopulmonary drainage techniques and monitor responses.
• Educate patients and families on inhaler use and respiratory care.
• Assist in educating students; orient new employees.
• Respond to Code Blue and be a rapid response team member.
• Maintain airway management and ventilator function.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to patient care decisions.
