Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory care as part of the Respiratory Care Department. The role requires clinical judgment and independence in delivering high-quality patient care.

You will set up and operate respiratory equipment including ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow devices, and manage invasive ventilation modes. CT license and NBRC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree.
• Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by NBRC.
• Thorough knowledge of procedures and patient care techniques in respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Function clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient care.
• Serve as a technical resource person to physicians and other health care workers regarding current respiratory care practices.

Position Purpose
