Job summary

SageWest Health Care, serving Fremont County, Wyoming, seeks Respiratory Therapists to join our Riverton and Lander teams. You will deliver life-saving respiratory care across all ages and work with a collaborative care team in a stable hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current state license or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• CRT or RRT credential through NBRC.
• BLS certification within facility-required timeframe.
• ACLS certification within facility-required timeframe.
• PALS and NRP certifications, as required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Performing respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning.
• Managing and monitoring mechanical ventilators, including troubleshooting and adjusting settings as appropriate.
• Assisting with emergency interventions, code responses, and manual resuscitation.
• Obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases and communicating results to the healthcare team.
• Conducting pulmonary function testing and 12-lead EKGs.
• Recognizing and reporting life-threatening arrhythmias and changes in patient condition.
• Maintaining respiratory therapy equipment and ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
• Accurately documenting patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
