PeaceHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time position in Florence, OR. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive respiratory care, diagnostic tests, oxygen and medication delivery, arterial blood gas analysis, and life support across care settings.

Ideal candidates have a Respiratory Care Program, Oregon licensure, NBRC RRT, BLS, and ideally ACLS/NRP/PALS within 3 months. Proficiency with EPIC and Sensormedics equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited Respiratory Care Program or approved equivalent as per state rules.
• Must pass NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist exam within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist; 1 year in pulmonary function lab preferred.
• Preferred ICU, Pediatrics, or Obstetrics experience.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner - Oregon license required.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory care including diagnostic testing, oxygen delivery, medications, arterial blood gas draw and analysis, advanced airway, and life support.
• Assess patient condition with labs, hemodynamics and radiology findings; plan and evaluate care for age-appropriate patients.
• Calibrate, clean, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; assemble and store equipment.
• Participate in in-house education and attend outside seminars as requested by Manager.
• Participate in audits, QA activities, charting, and special projects; support trauma, CPR, and rapid response teams.
• Manage ventilator and NPPV settings with evidence-based practice; adapt as needed.
• May train as core therapist in ICU or diagnostics (PFT or Sleep Lab) to meet department needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
