Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer and coordinate treatments for patients across the life span, from neonate to geriatric, and to document care accurately in the EMR.

The role requires GA licensure, an associate degree, and preferably one year of relevant experience. You will communicate with the care team, respond to emergencies, manage ventilators, and contribute to safe, evidence‑based patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Respiratory Therapist (Georgia) is required.
• Associate degree required.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with nurses on patient care issues, ventilator changes and ABG results.
• Documents treatments and orders in EMR and retains detailed shift reports.
• Manages ventilators by parameters and integrates chart data to guide care.
• Contributes to safe patient care by following protocols and escalating concerns to supervisors.
• Provides patient education and supports floor care as needed.
