Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and managing ventilation across care settings. You will work with advanced respiratory technology and a collaborative team to support patient outcomes.

The role includes bedside patient care, education, and ensuring equipment readiness, with a focus on safety and evidence-based treatments.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• RRT/RCP state credential required; NBRC-RT or NBRC-CRT accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance therapies.
• Manage ventilation and airway support (invasive/noninvasive).
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with care team.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment per infection-control standards.
