Job summary

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RCP) to assess, treat, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. They work with patients of all ages to restore and maintain lung function, perform ABG sampling, and contribute to care plans.

The ideal candidate will hold an RRT credential, a California RCP license, and at least one year of acute/critical care experience. Excellent clinical skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential granted by NBRC.
• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current RCP license in California.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• PALS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Acute and Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all licenses and certifications.
• Completes required annual clinical competencies.
• Performs Cardiac Diagnostics testing (EKG).
• Understands indications/contraindications of Mechanical Ventilation.
• Assists with bronchoscopy procedures.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Maintains ABG analyzers and QC’s.
• Ensures safe and timely work practices.
• Documents interactions and billing accurately.
• Attends staff meetings and supports performance improvement.
• Orders appropriate supplies and keeps skills current.
