Job summary

PeaceHealth in Bellingham, WA seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, variable position to care for cardio-pulmonary needs across diagnostic and critical care settings.

This role requires NBRC-RRT certification within 6 months, an accredited Respiratory Care Program, and 2+ years acute care experience. PALS/ACLS/BLS are required, with relocation or signing bonus possibly available and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Accredited Respiratory Care Program required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist exam within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience preferred.
• 1 year pulmonary function lab experience preferred.
• NRP certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PALS, ACLS, and BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including diagnostic testing, oxygen, medications, airway management and life support.
• Assess patient condition, monitor labs, hemodynamics, and radiology findings.
• Calibrate, clean, set up, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Participate in education, quality assurance, audits, and department projects.
• May contribute to ICU, PFT, or Sleep Lab as needed.
