Methodist Hospital Atascosa, part of Methodist Healthcare and affiliated with HCA Healthcare, seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will operate ventilators, administer therapies, and work within a skilled team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across care settings, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and collaboration to support continuous professional growth.

Competenze

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• One year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required to practice in Texas.
• NBRC credentials: RRT or CRT required; ACLS within 90 days; BLS upon hire.

Mansioni

• Operate and set up respiratory care devices (ventilators, gas administration, aerosol generators) per treatment parameters.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR assistance.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases; recognize results and implement corrective interventions.
• Follow physician orders for treatment type, mode, duration, and medication dosage.
• Monitor patient response using vital signs, ABG, breath sounds, pulse oximetry, and capnography.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to manage the care plan.
