Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC/CAAHEP/JRCRTE).
• CRT by NBRC and current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications current upon hire or within defined timelines.
• NRP certification current upon hire or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Delivers respiratory care procedures in general, acute, critical care, and emergency areas.
• Performs therapeutic modalities including patient monitoring, medication delivery, ventilation management, expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
• Assists in CPR and emergency care with airway management and cardiac support.
• Performs diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
• Develops care plans from assessment and physician orders.
• Provides patient and family education and teaching.
