Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Services team. Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, the RRT provides and administers respiratory care therapy and related equipment per department policy.

This on-site role supports patients with pulmonary disorders in both critical and non-critical areas. Requirements include AMA-approved Respiratory Care program, an associate degree, NJ RCP license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical aspects of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pulmonary disorders per physician prescription.
• Perform cardiopulmonary evaluation, monitoring, respiratory therapy, procedures and education for patients and families.
• Acquire, analyze and interpret data from physiological specimens and perform diagnostic tests.
• Administer and monitor medical gases, ventilation support, airway care and related therapies.
• Record patient data in EPIC and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
• Oversee Technicians to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergency and trauma codes.
