Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI, is seeking a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST to join our CARDIAC REHAB team!

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, diagnostics, and therapy services under medical direction to patients in various care environments. Assists in orientation and training of hospital staff, students, and the public regarding respiratory disease and care. Provides respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interprets patient information and understands treatment needs depending on the patient's age, demonstrating understanding of their physical, motor, psychosocial, and intellectual/language development.

May support other CR departments.

HOURS: .6 FTE / 48 hours every two weeks, day shift with some coverage at additional North Region sites.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols normally acquired through graduation from an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care with an Associate Degree.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences is beneficial.
• One year of critical care experience and experience in pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary lab is beneficial.
• An active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• Registered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
