Ochsner Health System in Lafayette, LA, is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist for the OLGMC Respiratory Therapy team. The role provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric, including ABG analysis and EKGs.

Requires an Associate's Degree and a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license; NBRC CRT credential; BLS; NRP for NICU; ACLS within 90 days. Strong communication and patient care skills preferred.

Formación

• Associate's degree required.
• Current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license required.
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• BLS Certification required.
• NRP Certification (NICU) required for NICU trained therapists.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and ABG analyses.
• Provides care per patient age-specific needs and maintains certifications.
