Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Shore Care, providing and administering all aspects of respiratory care therapy and related equipment across the network, with duties to float to locations as needed.

Qualifications include an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program, an Associate's degree, NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License, NJ Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate, and AHA BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate's degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical aspects of Respiratory Care.
• Minimum of two (2) years recent experience of respiratory care in acute care setting (by 2025).
• Minimum of one (1) year travel experience or equivalent (by 2025).

Responsibilities

• Assists in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pulmonary disorders per physician prescription.
• Performs cardiopulmonary evaluation and education.
• Administers respiratory care procedures and related respiratory equipment.
• Records patient data in EPIC EMR system.
• Operates and monitors respiratory equipment.
• Responds to emergencies and trauma codes.
• Oversees supervision of Certified Respiratory Care Technicians.
• Manages ventilator settings and related systems.
• Lifts up to 35 lbs and pushes/pulls up to 165 lbs.
