Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner in El Cajon, CA. This position reports to the Respiratory Care Services team and involves delivering patient-centered care in alignment with facility policies and patient care standards.

The role requires an Associate Degree, graduation from a respiratory care program, and current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications are also required; one year of acute/subacute experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science in health care preferred.
• Minimum of one year respiratory experience in acute or subacute unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor per policies.
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
• Performs focused interview to identify patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from health care members and documents diagnoses.
• Plans for outcomes of care for patients assigned.
• Performs interventions per plan of care and hospital policies.
• Maintains infection control procedures.
• Reports changes in respiratory status to supervisor, nurse, and physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient care information.
