Job summary

Boydhcs is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will administer therapies, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, pulmonary function testing, sleep study coordination, and staff education. Licensure in Illinois and BLS/ACLS credentials are required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credentials preferred; CRT considered based on experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Assess and monitor patient respiratory status; report changes to provider.
• Perform aerosol, oxygen, breathing treatments and airway clearance therapies.
• Coordinate pulmonary rehabilitation services.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests including spirometry.
