Adena Health System seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 90% night shift, 7p-7:30a, at the Respiratory Therapy department in Chillicothe, Ohio. You will provide respiratory pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities across all ages, collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, clinical autonomy, and leadership within the system. A strong emphasis on quality improvement and staff orientation is noted.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board and NBRC registered.
• ACLS required; PALS and NRP completed.
• ECG interpretation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Cary out physician orders per protocols and respiratory care policies.
• Assess cardiopulmonary function and contribute to multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Document patient assessments, treatments and outcomes accurately.
• Manage and evaluate high-risk procedures with other health professionals.
• Perform diagnostics and cardiac monitoring with arrhythmia recognition.
• Administer medications for cardiopulmonary impairment testing and treatment.
• Participate in orientation and competency evaluations for staff.
• Lead quality improvement processes within the department.
