Job summary

Adena Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy department for 60% night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).

The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with physicians and care teams, and leadership within the department. Required credentials include an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Ohio licensure, NBRC registration, and ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree with a concentration in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board and Registered by the NBRC (RBRC).
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications completed.
• ECG interpretation competency required.

Responsibilities

• Carries out physician orders according to protocols and respiratory care policies.
• Accurate and timely patient assessments and education to support multidisciplinary care plans.
• Maintain documentation of assessments, treatments and outcomes.
• Manage and evaluate critical procedures in collaboration with other health care professionals.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and cardiac monitoring with arrhythmia recognition.
• Administer medications for testing or treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment.
• Assist with new employee orientation and annual competency evaluations.
• Lead in Quality Improvement processes within the department.
