Great River Health in Fort Madison, IA is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to support cardiac and pulmonary care. The role involves ventilator management, PAP therapy, ABG collection, venipuncture, and delivering therapeutic treatments to enhance patient recovery.

EEG/EKG testing and pulmonary assessments are also performed as part of the job scope. Qualifications include CoARC approval, Iowa RCP licensure and NBRC CRT/RRT credentials; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred within 1 year.

Formación

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration.
• Licensed by the State of Iowa as RCP; NBRC CRT or RRT; must pass RRT registry within 1 year.
• Preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP at hire or within 1 year.
• Stable work history preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and assist with ventilator care and PAP therapy.
• Collect arterial blood gas specimens and occasional venipuncture.
• Administer respiratory and other therapeutic procedures.
• Perform EEG, EKG, Cardiac Stress Testing and Holter Monitoring.
• Conduct Pulmonary Function Testing and Pulse Oximetry.
• Perform Fit Testing and Six Minute Walks as needed.
• Breath Alcohol testing may be performed offsite.

Job Details

Scheduled hours: 24 hours per week, (6:30 PM - 7AM) every third weekend

Job Description

• Fit Testing
• Six Minute Walks
• and Breath Alcohol testing (some testing done offsite)

Coordinates and assists with Ventilator care, PAP Therapy.

Collects Arterial Blood Gas specimens and occasional venipuncture specimens.

Administers treatments and other therapeutic procedures to assist in the recovery of patients with respiratory and/or cardiac insufficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an CoARC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration.
• Licensed by the State of Iowa as RCP Credentialed by the NBRC as a CRT or RRT Must pass RRT registry exam within 1 year or will move to the CRT wage scale.
• Preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred at time of hire or within 1 year of hire.
• Stable is also preferred.
