Ochsner Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care, oxygen therapy, and diagnostic support for in-patients and out-patients across age groups. The role includes ABG analysis, EKGs, and ventilation management, with an emphasis on accurate documentation and patient education.

The ideal candidate will hold a state license, NBRC RRT credential, and be able to obtain BLS and ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 90 days of hire; strong computer & data-entry skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostics and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and EKGs; document and report results.
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans; adhere to policies and procedures.
