Ochsner Health System in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostics, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients. You will perform arterial blood gases, EKGs, and adapt care per physician orders within policy.

Requirements include a state RT license, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. Strong data entry, communications, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• NBRC certification as Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
• BLS from American Heart Association; ACLS within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory care procedures.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides patient care appropriate to the age group served.
