Job summary

MercyOne Clinton is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide neonatal through geriatric respiratory care in a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. The role includes consulting with physicians, performing diagnostics, and delivering patient education in a collaborative care environment.

The ideal candidate is NBRC-registered, Iowa-licensed as an RCP within one year, with BLS and ACLS in place, and previous critical care experience is preferred. Eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the NBRC upon hire.
• Must be licensed as an Iowa RCP within one year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• Critical care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Consult with physicians and nurses on respiratory care plans and implement orders.
• Assess patients to identify needs and communicate with physicians.
• Educate patients and care teams on respiratory therapies and device use.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including oximetry, capnography, arterial puncture, ventilation waveform analysis, and PFTs.
• Execute emergency and acute respiratory care per guidelines and policies.
