Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital seeks a Respiratory Therapist to support patient assessment and therapy across critical and non-critical care areas. You will manage ventilators, perform diagnostic evaluations, and collaborate with physicians to deliver safe, effective respiratory care.

Requirements include an accredited respiratory care program with an associate degree, state RCP license or NBRC credentials, and BLS for healthcare providers. This role is 0.9 FTE with a day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with an associate degree.
• RCP license in state and NBRC credentials (RRT within 12 months or CRT if before 2023).
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Support patient assessment using pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, labs, and blood gases.
• Operate ventilators in various care settings and assist physicians with procedures as needed.
• Provide prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response and safety.
