Job description

Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist at CHI Williston Health, you will join an established team of RTs dedicated to caring for patients with breathing issues. Our Therapists are trained in delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care, including:

• Breathing techniques
• Ventilator management
• Nebulizer treatments
• Oxygen therapies
• External ventilation support
• Pulmonary function assessments

Your success relies on keen assessment skills, urgency, and the ability to stay calm in emergencies. Critical thinking enhances your care plans, understanding actions and expected outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient health, monitor continuously, detect changes, and take necessary actions
• Respond to life-saving situations following standards, policies, and protocols
• Administer therapy modalities such as HHN, MDI, IPV, CPT, and Pentamidine
• Administer medical gases including oxygen and Helium-Oxygen therapy
• Perform ventilation therapies and manage life support systems
• Record care information accurately and promptly
• Maintain department order, stock, and cleanliness
• Practice safety and adhere to safety policies
• Use resources appropriately following facility guidelines

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Required Licensure and Certifications

• North Dakota RESP-LIC upon hire
• American Heart Association BLS-CPR upon hire
