Job summary

Aventura Health Group in Walton Hills is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our compassionate team, with FT Night and Weekend shifts available. You will assess, treat, and monitor residents’ cardiopulmonary health while collaborating with a dedicated clinical team to deliver exceptional care.

You’ll administer respiratory therapies, manage oxygen therapy and ventilators when needed, and document changes for the care plan.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in respiratory therapy and active licensure.
• NBRC certification (CRT or RRT) and CPR/BLS are required.
• Experience with ventilators and oxygen therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate respiratory status, vital signs, and oxygen levels
• Monitor residents on oxygen therapy, ventilators, and other treatments
• Communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer respiratory treatments including nebulizers and inhaled medications
• Manage oxygen therapy and perform airway suctioning
• Assist with tracheostomy care and airway management
• Operate and monitor ventilators and respiratory devices
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure equipment safety and functionality
• Maintain equipment according to infection control standards
• Teach residents and families about respiratory care and equipment
• Support residents with COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and sleep apnea
• Promote improved breathing through therapeutic techniques
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in care planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Associate’s or Bachelor’s)
• Active Respiratory Therapist license
