Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. You will assess patients, administer therapies, manage oxygen therapy and ventilators, and support airway management.

In collaboration with physicians, nurses, and the broader healthcare team, you will educate patients and families, document treatments, adhere to infection prevention standards, and participate in pulmonary function testing

Qualifications

• Must hold current Respiratory Therapist license or credential as required.
• Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT credential preferred or required as applicable.
• Hospital or clinical respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and identify changes in condition.
• Provide respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications as ordered.
• Manage oxygen therapy, ventilators, nebulizers, and other respiratory equipment.
• Assist with airway management, suctioning, and emergency respiratory procedures.
• Perform and assist with pulmonary function and diagnostic testing as required.
• Monitor patients during treatments and report significant changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and respiratory care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
