Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT), Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS).
• Experience is not required; supervision experience is not mandatory.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct respiratory care per hospital and department guidelines.
• Communicates effectively through documentation and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Educates patients, families, students and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per established protocols and troubleshoots as needed.
• Supports advanced clinical duties such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
