MultiCare Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Spokane, WA. The role delivers advanced respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

It operates with limited supervision and collaborates with the care team to set therapy objectives and evaluate outcomes. The position is part-time (0.6 FTE) with day shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program
• Certified (CRT) by the NBRC
• Licensed as an RCP with the State of Washington
• NBRC RRT eligibility notice to sit for exam
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS within 90 days of hire as age appropriate
• CPR certification for Health Care Providers

This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations. **Requirements*** Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program* Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care* Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington* Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required* Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS* Health Care Provider level CPR certification* Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care as CRT preferred**About Deaconess Hospital** Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
