Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in home and hospital settings with ventilator management.

The successful candidate will set up equipment promptly per physician orders, deliver and pick up gear, and educate patients on proper use and safety. Follow-up calls and occasional home visits are part of this role.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with home care experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to be covered on company auto insurance.
• Active RRT or CRT license.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and delivery of respiratory equipment including non-invasive ventilators and BiPAPs in hospital and home settings.
• Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Provide patient instruction on use, maintenance and safety of equipment.
• Perform follow-up calls with patients after setup.
• Provide follow-up care in the home as needed.

Position:

Respiratory Therapist

General Description:

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in providing respiratory care to patients in the home setting. The respiratory therapist will be responsible for setting up respiratory equipment in a prompt manner after receiving physicians' orders for prescribed respiratory equipment. The successful candidate will have experience with ventilator management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and delivery of respiratory equipment including, but not limited to, non-invasive ventilators and BiPAPs in the hospital and home setting


• Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately


• Provides patients with instruction on the proper use, maintenance and safety of their medical equipment


• Performing follow up phone calls with patients after respiratory equipment is set up


• Providing follow up care in the home setting as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clean driving record


• Successful completion of a background check


• Must be 21 years or older to be covered on company auto insurance and have a valid driver’s license


• Must hold an active RRT or CRT License
