Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver in-home respiratory care, set up equipment per physician orders, and manage ventilator support.

Responsibilities include delivering and setting up non-invasive ventilators and BiPAPs, training patients on device use and safety, and performing follow-up calls and home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with home care experience.
• Experience with ventilator management.
• Ability to set up respiratory equipment per physician orders.
• Provide patient instruction on use and safety of equipment.
• Follow-up calls and home care visits as needed.
• Clean driving record; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and delivery of respiratory equipment in home and hospital settings.
• Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Provide instruction on proper use, maintenance and safety of equipment.
• Perform follow-up calls with patients after respiratory equipment is set up.
• Providing follow up care in the home setting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position:

Respiratory Therapist

General Description:

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in providing respiratory care to patients in the home setting. The respiratory therapist will be responsible for setting up respiratory equipment in a prompt manner after receiving physicians' orders for prescribed respiratory equipment. The successful candidate will have experience with ventilator management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and delivery of respiratory equipment including, but not limited to, non-invasive ventilators and BiPAPs in the hospital and home setting


• Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately


• Provides patients with instruction on the proper use, maintenance and safety of their medical equipment


• Performing follow up phone calls with patients after respiratory equipment is set up


• Providing follow up care in the home setting as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clean driving record


• Successful completion of a background check


• Must be 21 years or older to be covered on company auto insurance and have a valid driver’s license


• Must hold an active RRT or CRT License
