Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for an intensive evening schedule from 7pm to 7am with weekend and holiday rotations. You will perform patient assessments, respiratory care procedures, and blood gas analyses while ensuring equipment is maintained and patients are educated on care plans.

Educationally, an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required, with an RRT and state licensure upon hire. BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within 60 days are mandatory to join our team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• No experience required.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist and Georgia state license required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures following protocols.
• Conduct critical care procedures in adult care areas and perform blood gas analyses.
• Maintain equipment and provide patient education to ensure safety and quality care.

Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education.
