Plantation Rehabilitation & Health Center in Florida is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility. This 36-hour-per-week role offers benefit eligibility and involves direct care, equipment management, and respiratory duties under the interdisciplinary care plan.

Responsible for direct care, equipment management andother respiratory related duties relevant to delivery of quality care in a safeenvironment according to the interdisciplinary care plan approach. We offer competitive pay for our 12-hour shifts.
Carries out all responsibilitiesaccording to the policies and procedures of the facility and within the scopeof practice of individual licensure, under the direction of the charge nurseLead Respiratory Therapist.
1. Utilizeknowledge and skills to assess and manage the patient respiratory status,including, but not limited to:
a. physicalassessment and interpretation-auscultation, performing diagnostic studies (ABG,CBG,etc .), sputum specimens, monitoring and interpretation of SaO2,pCO2, bloodgas values, and other diagnostics, assist with procedures, assess patientresponse to interventions and determine appropriate course of action.
b. airwaymanagement-care of artificial airway and cuff, suctioning, positioning,medication administration,humidification, aspiration precautions.
c. Ventilationmanagement-monitor assess work of breathing, monitor and assess lab values andresults of others diagnostic tools, oxygen and medication administration, COPT,postural drainage, monitor and assess patient response to intervention
