Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled assessment, treatment, and education for residents with complex pulmonary needs. The facility emphasizes compassionate care within a sub-acute and long-term care setting and supports a dedicated interdisciplinary team.

The role requires NBRC-certified RRT and current state licensure, with a minimum of three years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RRT credential from NBRC required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in SNF/LTACH or hospital settings required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for residents.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and modify treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing including lung capacity measurements and ABG evaluation.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents, including initiation of ventilator support when necessary.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents’ respiratory status and equipment functioning.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and resident progress.

Hourly Range:- $45.00- $55.00/hr(Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE

Shift Differentials:

• $1 for Evening and night shifts on Weekdays
• $3 for Evening and night shifts on Weekends

No Frills Program For Full-Time Employees: If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

• Perform diagnostic testing, including lung capacity measurements and evaluation of blood gas levels.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents, including initiation of ventilator support when necessary.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents’ respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress in accordance with clinical standards.

Qualifications for Respiratory Therapist:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in a skilled nursing facility, LTACH, or hospital setting required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage residents, families, and clinical teams.
