North Vista Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join its per diem team in Las Vegas, NV. You will perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under medical direction, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care.

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• NBRC RRT certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC on hire and maintained.
• Blood Gas Technologist license by Nevada DHHS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care.
• Consider age and population-specific needs of patients.
• May serve as Lead RCP, supervising section/department during shift.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Blood Gas Technologist Licensed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.
