Our Respiratory Care Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. Our team of skilled respiratory therapists works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, including advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. We utilize the latest technology and evidence-based practices to manage and treat a wide range of respiratory conditions, ensuring our patients receive the best possible outcomes. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. The hospital offers medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric, and critical care services.

In March 2012, the Cotton Family Birth Center at the hospital was designated a Baby-Friendly birth center by Baby-Friendly USA. It is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements, and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.

Scope of Work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Required)
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan (Upon Hire required)
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC (Upon Hire required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or American Red Cross (Upon Hire required)
