The Respiratory Therapist functions in a multi-faceted role demonstrating professionalism and promoting excellence in respiratory care. Responsibilities include respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations. The RT will coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to promote an excellent patient experience. The RT is responsible for maintaining compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

We have openings at all of our locations: Miami Valley Hospital Main, South, North, Atrium Medical Center, and Upper Valley Medical Center. NICU positions are also available.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

Additional Requirements

• Type of degree: Applied Science or Equivalent
• Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
• Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC
• BLS
• ACLS within 90 days of hire or course availability
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire or course availability
