Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves initial patient assessments, coordination of care, equipment setup, and family education, with on-call responsibilities as determined by leadership.

Requirements include NBRC CRT credential, BLS, and 1–2 years of pediatric RT experience. Full-time hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with weekends/on-call as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessments including clinical, functional, social and environmental needs.
• Coordinates services and care among all clinical teams.
• Sets up initial equipment and educates patient/family/caregivers.
• Develops and updates patient-specific care plans with goals and interventions.
• Reviews care plans and follows them per policy.
• Documents all required information accurately and timely.
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with care team members.
• Performs on-call duties, analyzes problems and notifies on-call manager.
• Attends department and staff meetings and schedules patient visits per policy.

• Position: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Weekends/On-call: as determined by leadership
• Requirements: holds the following license; LRT, BLS

THE POSITION:

• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs. Ensures communication and coordination of services /care among all clinical services.
• Performs initial equipment set-up and patient/family/caregiver education.
• Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions.
• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy.
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy.
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally.
• Participates in day to day trouble shooting. Performs all on-call activities, analyze problems, formulates solutions, and notifies manager on-call as needed.
• Attend department and staff meetings as necessary.
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One to two years of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications:

Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS)
