As a Respiratory Therapist you must be proficient in performing all offered respiratory therapies, ventilator management, EKG’s, Pulse oximetry, Holter monitor, pulmonary function tests and special procedures via Pulmonologist.
Respiratory Therapist must also be able to operate and manage respiratory equipment and supplies to ensure safe and accurate patient care as well as perform clerical duties such as chart data entry, input of department charges, document filing and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements for the role:
• Graduate of an accredited school for respiratory therapy and IL Licensure required
• National Certification, RRT or CRT preferred
• Must have current BLS certification, ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of critical care/ICU experience preferred
• Must have a strong background in bedside patient care
• Able to be self-supervised and self-motivated
• Basic computer skills in working with Excel and Word
