Job summary

Job description

Role Overview:

The Respiratory Therapist RRT provides advanced respiratory care to diagnose, evaluate, treat, and manage cardiopulmonary deficiencies. They serve as a resource to CRT staff and may lead special clinical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and communicate findings to the care team. Educate patients and families on self-care, document care activities, and ensure equipment and supplies are maintained. Participate in quality and safety initiatives, contribute to process improvements, and act as a mentor within the department. Flexibility to float to other departments and participate in on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate from an accredited NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program, registered by the NBRC as RRT, and licensed in the practice state. Certifications such as BLS, PALS, ACLS, or NRP are required. Must have strong communication, manual dexterity, and physical ability to assist with patient transfers and navigate busy environments.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to read, see, and interpret clinical information accurately; perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Benefits & Compensation:

Eligible for comprehensive benefits with an hourly rate dependent on experience, ranging from $32.34 to $49.94. The position offers full-time hours (36/week) in Cedar City, Utah.
